If the ancient Jews had accepted Jesus, they would not have turned him over to Governor Pilate for execution. But didn’t Jesus need to die for our sins? If so, then why in Matthew 23 is Jesus weeping over Jerusalem? Obviously, it is His will that they DO accept him.
