The War Against Christmas: Past and Present: -The Bob Siegel Show Ep 318

Special time capsule show!!!

Bob replays commentaries from two Christmases of the past separated by many years:

Last year, Christmas 2020:

Many governors were calling for complete lockdowns and a cancellation of Christmas family gatherings. They cited COVID19 as their reason. Bob suggested that while individuals should respect different thresholds of comfort regarding the spread of COVID19, governments were also using this virus as an excuse for a greater agenda.

Bob then reminded his listeners that there has been an attack from the left and the Politically Correct against Christmas for quite some time which leads to the second part of the time capsule…

Christmas 2007:

Bob replays his commentary on the war against Christmas as it was almost 15 years ago. While examples have changed, the similarities to present day are apparent.

NOTE: Last year at this time (as indicated by Bob in the 2020 flashback) there was a discontinuation of kids seeing Santa Claus at the famous Macy’s in New Work City. While that tradition has been revived this year in 2021, it is still very restricted, by reservation only due to health concerns. Also, Santa is socially distanced, siting behind a desk. Children do not sit on his lap.

With Christmas season upon us, be sure to check out Bob’s critically acclaimed Christmas children’s novel, also enjoyed by adults!
